2025 — The first year

In 2025, Cherub and her all-female crew sailed up from Carriacou to Antigua, arriving just in time to enter the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. After years of refit work, this was the moment the boat proved she was truly back — not just floating, but racing.

Nobody expected much from a boat that had been hauled out, sunk, and pieced back together in a Caribbean boatyard. But Cherub made it to the start line, and that was the point.

2026 — They returned

In 2026 Cherub returned to Antigua for a second year, racing again among some of the finest classic yachts in the Caribbean. The boat was faster, the crew more confident, the story a year deeper.

Two years in a row at the Antigua Classics confirmed what Angie had set out to prove: this boat still belongs on the water, and an all-female crew can take her there.

About the regatta

The Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta has been running since 1988. It brings together traditional sailing vessels from across the Atlantic — wooden boats, classic fibreglass, and spirit-of-tradition designs — for a week of racing in the waters around Antigua.

For Cherub, the regatta is a chance to show a larger audience that women of all ages and nationalities can come together, and with their spirit and creativity make this regatta an unforgettable experience.
